WRITER | PERFORMER | CREATIVE
Nathan Holley is a writer, actor, and creator of emotionally resonant, thematically ambitious work that explores the collision between vulnerability and performance. With a voice still young but shaped by years in the theatre—and sharpened by a fearless pen—Nathan brings characters to life, whether on the page, the stage, or the airwaves, through a deep commitment to honesty, empathy, and nuance.
Currently based in Utah, Nathan has carved out a unique space in the performing arts, broadcast, and storytelling communities, balancing professional stage roles with a steadily growing portfolio of original writing and voice work. As an actor, he is known for performances that are layered, emotionally alive, and fearlessly human—often gravitating toward characters who wrestle with faith, connection, longing, and identity. He recently appeared in Hale Center Theater’s acclaimed production of The Prince of Egypt, delivering a performance that merged vocal power with authentic, internal storytelling.
Nathan is also a seasoned voice artist and broadcast professional. As Distribution Manager for BYUradio at BYU Broadcasting, he oversees the national promotion and delivery of audio content across platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and syndicated radio stations across the country. In this role, he leads a team of student writers and producers, whom he trains to view their media work as a form of modern-day missionary service. He sees management not as administration, but as transformation—a chance to unlock hidden talents, instill purpose, and help young creatives achieve things they didn’t know were possible.
His passion for audio storytelling extends to his creative projects as well. His original script True Bugs, a comedic and heartwarming family adventure, was fully produced as a radio drama for the Kaboom podcast. It is now available for streaming worldwide and broadcast nationally on Sirius XM and select local radio stations.
As a writer, Nathan specializes in theatrical works that blend lyrical introspection with biting realism. From intimate thrillers to faith-centered epics, his scripts are driven by complex, flawed characters in tightly wound interpersonal settings—casinos, studios, even the vastness of the Old Mormon Trail. His work teeters between the absurd and the existential, unveiling the human experience in pursuit of connection and empathy. Whether in his psychological thriller Dead Air or the quietly aching family drama Archipelago, Nathan’s writing pulses with poetic tension and restrained emotional electricity, while delivering unforgettable nights of entertainment that audiences carry with them for years.
At the heart of Nathan’s creative vision is a belief in the transformative power of storytelling—not just as entertainment, but as a mode of healing, connection, and resistance. He writes, performs, and teaches to affirm that vulnerability is not weakness, and that the most powerful stories are the ones that let people escape and feel seen.
Nathan is currently developing several new works for stage and screen and is always looking to collaborate with artists and institutions who share his hunger for truth, beauty, and the kind of art that leaves an impact.
"I am a storyteller, set on creating uplifting, thought-provoking, innovative works that push individuals to ponder their relationship with God and the world. My work explores unity in opposites, and I aim to remind my audiences of our common existence. I want us to revere each other, to understand one another’s perceptions, and uncategorize what we consider right or wrong. With a reverence to the past, I try to blur the lines between today and yesterday. I believe memories are sacred, and we refine them as we share them as stories with the world. My goal as a storyteller is to preserve that sanctity, while simultaneously using those memories to bring audiences closer together"
